Double-coated PVC fabric is a material with PVC coatings on both sides of the base fabric, offering better water resistance, abrasion resistance, and weather resistance than single-coated products. Its smooth surface has no water seepage risk, and even when exposed outdoors for long periods, UV-resistant treatments prevent fading and embrittlement. In applications, it is widely used in outdoor shelter facilities like tents and awnings, resisting external wind/rain and internal moisture; truck tarps and container covers in transportation rely on its tensile strength to protect goods; in agricultural greenhouses, its high light transmittance and thermal insulation help improve crop growth efficiency. However, this material has limitations: it softens in high temperatures and may become brittle in extreme cold, so usage scenarios need to match its temperature resistance range. Currently, R&D efforts—such as adding modifiers to enhance high/low temperature resistance and using bio-based plasticizers to reduce environmental impact—are gradually addressing these shortcomings, increasing its penetration in fields like cold chain logistics packaging.
